Client located near Norwalk, CA is in need of an EDI Analyst for a Perm position.
The main purpose of the EDI (Electronic Data Interface) Analyst position is to provide technical support to meet of EDI Requirements, providing skills and knowledge to support the organizations EDI needs and partners who exchange data with the organization. This position includes managing and developing processes for EDI loads.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Analysis of Requests: Assess the customer's needs and expectation in relation to EDI, including analyzing and resolving critical issues.
a. Analyzes and define organizational needs for Electronic Data Interfaces, resulting in the development of procedures and schedules to support the company's EDI activities.
b. Act as support for all communications between internal users and external trading partners for issues involving computer systems troubleshooting and Issues will include, but not be limited to, setting up new trading partners, testing new/existing trading partner data maps and monitoring communication system status.
2. Design of Changes: Compile comprehensive designs that explain the expected changes and accounting for interdependency of applications.
a. Reviews and analyzes systems specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included. Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
b. Comply with all standards and acceptable approaches to maintain consistency of documentation and designs.
3. Development of EDI Reporting: Produce quality reporting for internal users and external trading partners to help manage data and interfaces.
a. Work with developers to produce reports and interfaces, including the transmission of files using FTP.
b. Act as the liaison for all EDI interfaces, resolving issues and ensuring files are transmitted in a timely manner with the highest of quality.
4. Testing of Solutions: Review and validate assumptions and transmissions to ensure the highest quality reports with little or no cause for rework or rollback
5. Process Control: Create procedures to create an environment that is repeatable and effective to meet the needs of the organization.
a. Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
b. Monitors performance of programs after implementation.

The individual who fills this position will be responsible for providing installation and consulting services revolving around the entire NetApp portfolio. Expertise in NetApp; expertise in other platforms (HDS, EMC, HP, SUN, IBM, etc.) is a plus.
The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end data storage solutions to include infrastructure discovery, storage layout design, hardware diagnostics and verification of hardware installation, volume configuration, snapshot configuration on volumes, CIFS service and NFS service configuration on NetApp controllers, complete verification testing and complete storage design and implementation summary document.
